Outlook Express 6, upon closing, message "To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact . . ."
I receive this annonying message EVERY TIME I close OE6. Nothing I have been able to do will disable it. And, it is a dangerous message: When I first used it by saying "yes," it compacted all e-mail folders and wiped out (deleted) whole folders, one containing two years of saved e-mails. Obviously, this is a serious bug that Microsoft has not fixed. Help! I'm desperate! How do I stop this #@&*# message?1 person needs an answerI do too

See your other post that you started four months ago and then abandoned. I posted more possible "fixes" there. All production of Outlook Express ended in June, 2006, so don't expect a fix for anything.Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]
